I was at a garage sale and asked the person running the sale if he had anything for me as a found object metal sculpture artist. He ran off and came back with two pickaxes. He started to tell me that they were his grandfathers and one was for picking silver and the other was for picking gold. At the same time it was as if my brain split and while he was talking I knew what I would make and what the wings body and tail would be made of.

Two Pickaxes, two 2-man saws, Post hole spades and a garden hand spade for the tail tip.
